Vinicius Junior was spotted walking over to Laporte and pushing him in the back during Tuesday's exciting 3-3 international friendly draw between Spain and Brazil. The incident came after the Real Madrid star broke down in tears at a press conference before the match when quizzed about the racial abuse he has endured. “I just want to play football," Vinicius also told reporters as he prepared for the game at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Those comments were used to mock Vinicius after the game. A post on X showed a video of the incident along with the message: "I just want to play football" and a series of emojis. Spain defender Laporte surprisingly responded with the comment: "Maybe he wanted to dance".
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Vinicius captained Brazil against Spain in a game which was organised in response to the racism experienced by the winger this season. The Brazil players posed in tops bearing the slogan "One skin, one identity" before the match, which ended in a draw thanks to a 97th minute equaliser from Lucas Paqueta. Vinicius was given a standing ovation when he left the pitch in the 70th minute.

Vinicius has also admitted he's felt "less and less like playing" due to the racism he has experienced. However, the Brazilian has vowed to continue and will hope to add more silverware to his collection this season. Real Madrid will return to action eight points clear at the top of La Liga and are set to face Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
