Mullin required oxygen as he was treated in the field when he clattered with United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop in a friendly in July. He had to stay in the United States to recover from the injury and missed his team's first six matches in League Two. He was back in action by early-September, but he admits the issue still hurts him and he did not start to feel comfortable again until late-October.

"I’d say it wasn’t until the Sutton United home game [on October 24] that I felt anywhere near myself,” he is quoted as saying by . “I still get some pain now, after games. But during the games it is always fine. Hopefully, now I can start to get back to where I was."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Mullin scored an awesome 38 National League goals last season to help fire Wrexham to the title and into League Two. Despite his injury at the start of the season, he has already scored seven goals in 12 matches in the English fourth-tier as well as one in each of the EFL Trophy and the FA Cup.

Mullin, who scored three times as Wrexham beat Morecambe 6-0 at the weekend, will be in action again on Tuesday when his side take on Harrogate in League Two. The Red Dragons are currently second in the division, five points behind leaders Stockport County.
