Wrexham men’s team have seen their stock soar to the point that a trip to the U.S. was taken in last summer – playing the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea in pre-season friendlies – and an ambitious women’s squad will now be treading a similar path in 2024.

In a tongue-in-cheek video to announce that tour and a partnership with financial services company Ally that is making the trip possible, Reynolds has poked fun at the manner in which cash has been splashed in North Wales. He said, while pointing a finger at fellow co-chairman McElhenney: “Would you say that your reckless spending has led us to the point of needing an ally like Ally? Mister let’s send everyone to Vegas. Mister let’s build a temporary Kop. Mister let’s do a show. It won’t cost you a thing, not a dime!”
