The winger returned to the German side for the rest of the season and got off to a great start as he set up a goal for Marco Reus as Dortmund beat Darmstadt 3-0 in his first game back. After a miserable period at United, the 23-year-old says he is delighted to be back on the field.

He told the club's website: "Since I've been back here, it's felt like I'm home. I'm just happy to be on the pitch. Marco is a good friend of mine and I'm just happy that I could set up a goal for him. My objective is to be happy again and to help the team get back into the top three. We're taking it game by game and I'm sure sure that we'll do well if we keep fighting in every match."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Sancho's time at Old Traffod soured in September when he was left out of the squad to face Arsenal in the Premier League. Coach Erik ten Hag said it was due to the Englishman's effort in training, but Sancho reacted by firing back at the coach on social media, claiming he was being used as a "scapegoat". He was subsequently banished from the first team as he looked for a way out before Dortmund came in with an offer.
